London Wedding Photographer – Contemporary City Wedding
I met Mandip for coffee and we sat outside St Mary’s Church in Marylebone, London. A huge wedding and party in a church? Who would have thought it! We sat and chatted about their plans for the day and just about life in general. Its important to me to get to know my couples before I photograph their wedding, but every so often you meet people who you know you will be great friends with for a long time and its amazing. Before their wedding, we explored Kew Gardens together for their pre-wedding shoot! It was a HOT day in July, which made it a little steamier than usual inside the glasshouses! But I loved it nonetheless and the green botanicals are just so beautiful, they made the perfect backdrop for some romantic images!
I adore London weddings, the City excites me and after getting to know Mandip and Alan before the wedding I was so excited to see their ideas come to life! It was also the first time my partner, The Long Haired Bartender, and I would be working together!
Mandip looked drop dead gorgeous. From the elegant hairstyle to the Vera Wang dress, I was in awe! With both Indian and Scottish heritage, the two of them planned to include bits of both within their day. The result? Think Haggis Pakoras, Indian-Scottish fusion Whisky and an incredible colourful statue elephant! All ending in some of the best dancing and biggest array of McDonalds I have ever seen ( I may have scoffed two cheeseburgers). It was an incredible day. All of their friends and family who had travelled thousands of miles under one roof, having the most amazing time. I was in tears throughout the speeches, Particularly Alan’s, we all were. It was a wedding that will stay with me for a long time that’s for sure. But enough of the talking, here is a little preview of their story!
Big thanks to my second shooter Ellie for assisting on the day!
