Ashleigh & Rob married at South Causey Inn this march and although we weren’t expecting it, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. After the infamous Beast from the East had set in across County Durham and beyond, I was secretly hoping the snow would stick for their wedding. As cold as it was the snow made the most beautiful backdrop for portraits. Ashleigh and Rob were an absolute joy to work with – I don’t think i’ve ever seen anyone as excited for wedding photographs than Ashleigh, it makes my job even more amazing! Armed with doc martins and a fur coat, we set out to the river (with the help of a 4×4 and the incredible staff at South Causey Inn). My fingers were so numb I struggled to press the shutter and I’m pretty sure we all had snow in our boots but it was SO worth it! Thank you Ash & Rob for being so amazing! Here is a little preview of their day. Make sure you take time to notice Ashleigh’s hair, it was so unique and beautiful! I love brides that aren’t afraid to be a little different. I think one of my favourite images of this story, has to be Ashleigh taking a moment to cuddle her baby daughter, Olive before the ceremony.
Here’s what Ashleigh had to say: Last weekend Becy photographed our wedding day and we couldn’t be happier! What a talent, the pictures we have seen so far are absolutely startling! Our day was captured in such a creative way, we can’t stop looking at them! Would highly recommend! Becy was a pleasure to have at the wedding too!
