I don’t know if many of you know, but I don’t just shoot weddings and elopements – Couple Sessions make up a HUGE part of what I do. My connections with couples are fleeting, but what we create together is definitely magical. Call them what you like, be that engagement sessions, couple sessions – I call them Adventure Sessions because most of the couples I photograph, no scratch that, all of the couples I photography LOVE adventure. Over the last year I have captured over 15 couple sessions all over Europe and I truly adore telling your stories. Whilst I want to blog each and every couple session separately, I got a little bit too excited and decided to include the best couple sessions within this blog post. 1. Best Couple Session – Grace & Mitch – Lake Braies, Italy

Grace and Mitch are a husband and wife kick-ass wedding photography/videography team. They are just the most beautiful and kind humans. We met early morning at the entrance to Lake Braies. Lago di Braies is one of the most beautiful, turquoise, dreamiest lakes in the world! I was actually so frigging excited to capture these guys here. This shoot took place during my family van trip around Europe with Belle and Elijah (just 6 weeks old!) and so we decided to do a bit of a shoot swap. I think my favourite moments have to be when Belle snuck in the photos in the water (spot Belle) or Mitch wearing Eli in a sling so that Grace couple photograph Arif and I! One day I will post their full story but for now here is a glimpse of Grace and Mitch’s couple session. You can see why there are one of my Best Couple Sessions right?

2 . Best Couple Sessions – Jen & Davide – Milan & Lake Garda

Next up on the best couple Sessions list is Jen and Davide. I also met up with these two during our van trip around Europe. Jen and Davide wanted a beautiful engagement session both in Milan and Lake Garda, two places that were so special to them. We came up with an amazing idea – Lets capture sunrise in Milan and meet back up for sunset in Lake Garda! I got used to the early morning wakeup calls that trip. I can’t lie, with a breastfeeding baby it wasn’t easy. However, once you arrive at a usually bustling Capital City just before sunrise you know its worth it. I won’t say too much more because the couple session really does speak for itself. So here you go, from sunrise to sunset, the best Lake Garda & Milan couple photos.

3. Best Couple Sessions – James and Ash – Ireland

I met these two talented photographers at Feckin Workshop in Ireland. After my day to talk and lead a shoot, we had a free afternoon. So we whisked these two off to the coast of Dingle, some of the most stunning scenery I’ve seen! (Not better than Skye though soz guys.) It was such an incredible afternoon with the waves crashing behind James and Ash and running along the sand and whitewash with these two.

4. Best Couple Sessions – Steffi & Daniel – Glencoe, Scotland

Steffi and Daniel came all the way from Germany to meet me in my happy place in Scotland. Their couples session celebrated their first wedding anniversary and it was so beautiful! Of course we had our typical Scottish Cloudy weather and Glencoe was particularly boggy. However, Steffi and Dan were absolute heroes and we spent the morning wandering through the Glencoe Valley and meandered through Glen Etive.

5. Best Couple Sessions – Khadiza & Sean – Algarve, Portugal 

These two beautiful people married in the Algarve in Portugal, and I was the lucky photographer who got to capture it! They also choose to have a post-wedding session on the beach too. I absolutely LOVE doing post-wedding day couples sessions. It means you don’t have to spend so long away from your guests on your actual wedding day and you also get to have beautiful photographs in multiple locations! Here are a few from are very wet post-wedding day session – you can see why this is one of my best couple Sessions!

6. Best Couple Sessions – Joni & Brian – Santorini

These guys came all the way over from the US to celebrate their honeymoon in Santorini! Just past the end of the busy summer season in Santorini, you get wonderful short days, beautiful sunsets and (the best part) far fewer crowds! If you haven’t been to this magical place then I highly recommend it…although if you are 18 weeks pregnant like I was, maybe don’t walk up ALL of the steps from the shore of Santorini. I got to capture their beautiful couple session throughout the day. It was completely beautiful and will always be one of my favourite couples sessions ever!
