Myself and my husband booked an elopement package with Becy, we had a beautiful 4 day weekend in the Isle of Skye, and we were married in the Fairy Glen (stunning place.)

Everything was perfectly setup and organised by Becy, she made our weekend magical, listened to every little detail that we gave her, and even dragged my butt up mountains whilst heavily pregnant! (Becy was Pregnant not me…)

Could not think of anyone better to have organised our stay, wedding/humanist celebrant, ceremony, cake, flowers, video, photography, wedding reception/dinner, special non-alcoholic drink for my husband (who doesn’t drink), you name it… she sorted it.

  4. Perhaps you want your memories documented as art, not just photos — by someone with over ten years of experience and named one of the best wedding and elopement photographers in the world?

If you answered yes to any of these, your next step is simple:

Your dream elopement begins the moment you reach out.

Yes, you can! There are a couple of steps to make your ceremony legal in Scotland.

1. You will need to arrange your marriage schedule. For Isle of Skye, You’ll need to apply to Portree registry office for your marriage schedule. Most councils charge about £80 for the marriage schedule and you need to give 29 days notice. If you are from outside of the UK, you will also need to apply for a marriage visa from your home country.

2. You will need to become a member of the Humanist Society Scotland – their wonderful celebrants cannot marry you unless you are one. It’s really easy to sign up through their website. Membership fee is £85. It’s worth it though, Humanist ceremonies are the best, most personal ceremonies!!

A Skye adventure elopement doesn’t necessarily mean hiking! There are plenty of beautiful secluded spots, just a short distance away from the car!

But if you are someone who dreams of hiking for your elopement, there are so many ways to make it happen in your wedding attire! You can embrace the wild Skye weather and wear your favourite hiking boots. Or you can pack up your clothes and you can get changed just before you say your vows! I’m always up for an adventure if you are. I climbed the UK’s toughest Munro which happens to be on the Isle of Skye for one adventurous couple! You can read about it here in the news!

Honestly? Embrace it! You don’t come to Skye expecting warm climates and golden sunshine! It’s the dramatic clouds that make this place so beautiful!

Some of the most incredible elopements I have captured have been in heavy rain. What a story it makes! This doesn’t mean you have to get wet though, there are plenty of ways around it. There are also some pretty epic forests in Skye to shelter from the rain for portraits! I will be checking the weather and making adjustments if you want them, so you don’t need to worry! Yes! Some couples choose to have their very closest family members or friends with them and that is absolutely up to you! Whilst the all inclusive elopement package was designed for true Scottish elopements, just the two of you, I can adapt the package for up to 16 guests to create a bespoke intimate wedding! For larger weddings, I can direct you to Skye’s best wedding venue’s and still be there to capture your day. Read about the best Skye Wedding Venue’s here.

Your dog is part of your life, part of your family, and part of your story. If they’re coming to Scotland with you, they’re not just included — they’re fully considered in the planning.

I work with dog-friendly accommodation (including cabins and luxury suites), and I also book celebrants who love dogs are perfectly happy for them to be by your side during the ceremony,

I’ll guide you to dog-friendly elopement locations on Skye, choosing safe landscapes with space to explore. I’ll also guide you to the dog friendly restaurants and cafe’s for your Skye trip!

Yes — car hire is strongly recommended.
The Isle of Skye is remote and the most beautiful locations are spread across the island. Having a car gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace and reach the quieter, more secluded spots during your trip.

Travel times by car are approximately:

  • Inverness Airport → Skye: 2.5–3 hours
  • Glasgow Airport → Skye: 4.5–5 hours
  • Edinburgh Airport → Skye: 5–5.5 hours

It is possible to reach Skye using public transport (train + bus), but services can be infrequent and limited. I have had clients that have done this!

If you want the most relaxed and flexible experience — and the ability to reach the wild, cinematic landscapes Skye is known for — hiring a car is the best option.

The Elope With Belle package is split into 3 instalments. 

First payment of £3000 is due upon booking.
Second payment is due 12 weeks before your elopement date.
Third payment is due 6 weeks before your elopement date.

If you are from the UK, I ask that you pay via bank transfer. If International, then Stripe payments are available. 

Most couples book 6–12 months in advance.
The busiest times on the Isle of Skye are April / May and September / October, and these dates often book out a full 12 months ahead.

That said — if you’re dreaming of an elopement sooner, it’s always worth reaching out. I’ve planned beautiful, fully curated elopements in just a few weeks when the stars (and schedules) aligned.
