Natalia and Charles came all the way from Indonesia to explore the beauty the Isle of Skye for their Quiraing Elopement. I’m always amazed by my clients complete trust in my art. It was incredible to witness the emotions and love they have for each other. After a long flight into London, they hopped straight on another to Edinburgh and then drove up through the Scottish highlands. Eventually they arrived in a beautiful little town, Portree. We met and drove up into the The Quiraing, one of my favourite places in the world. We drove until we could and then hiked until the misty sky met the summit. It was Autumn, and the colours were just beautiful.

If you have ever been to the Isle of Skye, you will know that part of its charm is the intense and moody sky. Well you can’t really get this dramatic sky without a spot of rain…and by spot of rain I mean full on storm with gale force winds. (Its not like this all year round, just most of the time.) Natalia and Charles battling the elements during their moody elopement just added to the intensity and romance. Our adventure was one I will forever remember. One moment I will never forget is Natalia getting out of the car in heels, only to realise as they sunk into the ground that this is no place for them. So quickly changed into her boots.

I would love to come back to this amazing place more and more over the next few years. I am completely drawn to the dramatic skies and ever changing landscape.
