Who is it for?
This elopement workshop and retreat is for photographers who are looking to start or expand their elopement portfolio.
Everyone is welcome here, no matter where you are on your photography journey, provided you are kind! There has always been a range of abilities at the workshops and it's a safe place to support and learn from each other.
This workshop is designed to emulate real elopements as closely as possible from the REAL couples, ceremonies with hand-fastings, romantic picnics, sunset adventures and blue hour fire pits with marshmallows.
Becy from Belle Art Photography will lead the shoots and will talk you through her shooting processes. How she navigates through the drastic changes in light, weather and scenery. From first morning light, right through to blue hour.
The aim of the workshop is to inspire you creatively, instilling knowledge and confidence in your own shooting style. It will also give you a taste of how incredible elopements can be and it will show you how putting the couples experience at the forefront of everything you do, will lead to creating the most meaningful and beautiful artwork.

Shoot Day – 22nd February
What’s the story?
Inspiration & Style: Boho, Romantic, Sunset Landrover adventure, Blue Hour Bell Tent, lanterns, picnic and marshmallows in front of the fire.
Esme & Rebecca wake up at their beautiful cabin with mountain views. They help each other get ready out on the deck of Skye Red Fox Retreat and write their vows to each other.
They set off to the majestic Quiraing for their elopement ceremony! After a short hike with their flowers they stop for their hand-fasting ceremony and vow reading.
They take the time to explore the amazing landscape for portraits before heading to their Landrover for a sunset adventure!
They finish the evening at blue hour with their magical Bell tent picnic in front of the fire, roasting marshmallows.

MEET AF & BETTI
Two love stories. Two epic adventures with tons of detail.
Shoot Day – 23rd February
What’s the story?
Inspiration and Style: Wuthering Heights and darkly evocative romance novels. Think castle ruins and dramatic cliffs by the sea. Barefoot dancing in the moonlight.
she/her/he/him
Af and Betti spend a quiet morning in the 18th Century Tulach Ard House. Writing vows in the soft early morning window light. Getting ready separately before their first look moment on the bay.
They run away to elope at the old castle ruins by the wild sea overlooking the mountains.
Romantic ceremony and portrait locations. First dance inside castle ruins lit with fairy lights. Running barefoot into the water just after the sun sets.

• Why different ticket prices?
The ticket prices reflect the type of accommodation available with the workshop.
No1 is for your own private double room at Tulach Ard.
No2 is for a shared twin room (become best buds with your roomie) at Tulach Ard.
No3 is without accommodation as I know there are some of you who can't resist a camper!
Regardless of ticket type, you are all a huge part of the workshop retreat and that's why the communal dinners are organised! Not only is it the best food in the highlands, we get to come together, chat and get to know each other!
• What level do I have to be?
Photographers of all abilities and experience are welcome on the workshop. It is a great chance to try out new things and learn from myself and each other.
• How do you get around Skye?
Our beautiful island is pretty rural and although there is public transport, it is much easier with a car! If this isn't possible then please get in touch as we may be able to help you!
• What's the weather like?
Think 4 seasons in one day! It can be a little crazy...so best to be prepared for it all! A good waterproof and sensible walking shoes are a must! Maybe bring a spare pair of shoes too.
• How do we book?
Tickets are allocated on a first come first serve basis. Once the form is filled out at the bottom of this page, a proposal will be sent to you. From there you will have 24 hours to accept your chosen ticket, sign the online contract and pay the 50% instalment.
